I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo
I was talking to my sister, Andrea, this morning about how it is hard to keep the house clean, look nice, fix dinner and take care of a baby (not necessarily in that order=) I am adjusting to leaving the laundry in the basket so I can hold Arrabella when she needs me or leaving the dishes until later so I can rock her. Andrea reminded me of this poem and I had to find it and post. Makes me cry every time! I love my sweet pea and don't want to miss anything... she won't remember if the kitchen was a mess but she will remember that I took time for her. Leave the laundry and hold your little dumplings close today.
"Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth, Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing and butter the bread,
Sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."

50/50/50 Fine Art Collection
Okay mamas, I need your cute little babes=) For the next few weeks I will be looking to photograph 50 sweet baby faces to be featured in a fine art portrait collection that may just end up in your favorite boutique, pediatricians office or a local birthing center! The 50/50/50 collection will feature 50 photographs in 50 days for $50 each.
Each day a new baby photograph will be featured on my blog and only be available for that one day. The photo may be purchased by you, a family member, a children's boutique, or anyone who just can't resist the cuteness! To be a part of this goodness, your little chick must be between the ages of 0-15 months, super cute and available on one of the days scheduled.
